AtriumKit vs Tango
A Tango alternative for teams that need a guide and a demo.
Tango turns a click-through into a how-to guide and can walk your team through it inside the web apps they use. AtriumKit turns one Chrome recording into a step-by-step guide and an interactive demo for your site, sales and onboarding. Here’s where each one fits.
AtriumKit vs Tango
The short answer.
Pick Tango if…
Your guides are for your own team. Tango captures in Chrome, Edge and, on Pro, desktop apps for Mac and Windows. Guide Me walks people through each step inside the live web app, and Pro costs less per seat: $15 per user a month billed annually for three or more users.
Pick AtriumKit if…
The same flows also have to work for sales, marketing or customer onboarding. One Chrome recording gives you a written guide and a guided or clickable demo, with branching on every plan. Pro adds lead forms, AI voiceovers and translation into 15 languages. It records web apps in Chrome only and has no in-app guidance.

Pricing
What each one costs.
AtriumKit
Free: $0, with 3 published demos and 1 creator. Pro: $38 per creator a month, or $32 billed yearly. Team: $69, or $58 billed yearly. Viewers are free on every plan. Pro and Team start with a 14-day trial (a card is needed). Enterprise is arranged with us.
Tango
Free: $0, with 5 shared workflows and up to 10 users. Pro, per user a month: $30 billed monthly or $22 billed annually for 1–2 users; $20 billed monthly or $15 billed annually for workspaces of 3 or more. Every member of a Pro workspace needs a Pro seat. Enterprise: custom pricing, a platform fee based on the number of users.
Per seat, Tango Pro costs less. For three people billed yearly, Tango Pro is 3 × $15 = $45 a month and AtriumKit Pro is 3 × $32 = $96. If people who only read guides need to be workspace members, count them too: every member of a Tango Pro workspace is a paid user, while AtriumKit viewers are free.

Why teams switch to AtriumKit.
- 01
The same flow has to sell, not just explain
One Chrome recording gives you the written guide and an interactive demo: a guided walkthrough with branching, or a clickable demo viewers explore in any order. Embed it on your site or send it after a call. On Pro and Team, a lead form can send new leads to HubSpot, Salesforce or Slack.
- 02
Branching and translations below Enterprise
Tango lists branching and workflow translations on Enterprise. AtriumKit has branching on every plan, and AI translation into 15 languages on Pro and Team. A translated demo’s guide is published in every language too.
- 03
Guide exports on the free plan
Tango’s PDF, Markdown and HTML exports start on Pro. AtriumKit guides can be copied as rich text or Markdown, downloaded as a .md file or printed to PDF on every plan, Free included.
- 04
Change the page text after you record
AtriumKit keeps recorded pages as HTML. When a label or a name on screen changes, you edit the text in the editor and publish again, and the demo and its hosted guide both change. A moved control or a new flow still means recording that flow again.
An honest answer
When Tango is the better pick.
No tool is right for every team. These are the cases where we’d point you to Tango.
- You document desktop software. Tango’s desktop app captures workflows on Mac and Windows (Pro and Enterprise). AtriumKit records web apps in Chrome only.
- You want guidance inside the tools your team already uses. Guide Me highlights each step in the live web app, such as Salesforce or Workday, and Pins (Enterprise) put notes and walkthroughs on the page. AtriumKit has no in-app guidance.
- You want a lower price per seat for internal docs. Tango Pro is $15 per user a month billed annually for three or more users. AtriumKit Pro is $32 per creator a month billed yearly.
- Your team records in Microsoft Edge. Tango’s extension runs on Chrome and Edge. AtriumKit records in Chrome only.
- You often add steps to an existing guide. Tango’s Capture more steps inserts new steps anywhere in a workflow. In AtriumKit, clickable demos take new screens, but a guided demo can’t: you record that flow again.
- You need a SOC 2 report. Tango says it is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant. AtriumKit doesn’t have SOC 2 yet.
We make AtriumKit, so read this page with that in mind. Every Tango fact above comes from Tango’s own website and help center, checked on November 1, 2026, and listed under sources. Where Tango’s pages don’t say, the table says “Not listed” instead of guessing.
FAQ
Questions, answered.
Is AtriumKit cheaper than Tango?
No, not per seat. Tango Pro is $15 per user a month billed annually ($20 monthly) for three or more users, and $22 ($30 monthly) for one or two. AtriumKit Pro is $32 per creator a month billed yearly ($38 monthly). AtriumKit charges for admins and editors; viewers are free. Every member of a Tango Pro workspace is a paid user. See pricing.
Can I move my Tango guides into AtriumKit?
There’s no importer. Record each flow again in Chrome with the AtriumKit extension; the recording becomes a demo, and publishing it gives you its guide. For screens you can’t open in Chrome, you can build a demo from screenshots instead.
Does AtriumKit have in-app guidance like Guide Me?
No. AtriumKit doesn’t put overlays inside your product or inside other web apps. Its demos and guides are hosted pages and embeds. If you want each step highlighted in the live app, Tango’s Guide Me does that for people with a Tango account and its Chrome or Edge extension.
Can AtriumKit record desktop apps?
No. It records web apps in Google Chrome (version 116 or later). Tango’s desktop app captures on Mac and Windows on its Pro and Enterprise plans. See what you can record.
Do AtriumKit guides change when my product changes?
Not on their own. A text change is an edit, because recorded pages are kept as HTML. A moved control, a new layout or a changed flow means recording that flow again. The hosted guide follows the demo each time you publish; copies you pasted elsewhere don’t.
Which AtriumKit plans include guides and exports?
All of them. Every published demo has a step-by-step guide, and you can copy it as rich text or Markdown, download a .md file or print it to PDF on Free. AI translations of the guide are on Pro and Team.
